Good morning

Got up a little late today (7:20 AM). Since today is Sunday, it's fine. Holidays make you a little lazy one right? Was going through the news - Keralakaumudi is the one which comes in pdf, so that's my favorite. I think I've never commented anything about the politics/similar stuff here in this blog. This is the time for it.
  • Management College + Reservation + Fees + Minority Issues.

I don't understand why no one is doing the right thing. Nobody is bothered about what is to be done or what will do the good of society. I am not going to say what should be done nor going to explain the situation here. Whatever LDF does, oppose it - that is now things have to be done. I think this is the only policy of opposition(UDF). And now, if they do it, they have to stand for the minority classes and others(majority) wont like it. So change the color just for this issue. Really, the junta consists of idiots - with no choice left.

  • Police Force Improvement

I am seeing news these days saying the improvement of police force in the state. They are slowly starting to use technology. I wish, someday Kerala Police will be known like Scotland Yard. I think we do have the potential for that.

  • Meera Jasmin, Shabharimala Issue

WOW!! This is the best thing happening in the past 1-2 weeks. Meera entered some temple and now they have cancelled all the "pooja" they did for five days (Five days after she entered only they did the "cleaning" of the temple). How can someone take back the prayers? Isn't it funny?

Come on, First of all the idea of non-Hindus being forbidden in the temple has to go away. When will these priest-community have some brains? Is it so difficult to understand that Hinduism exists in mind, not in the caste? I enter the temple compound whenever I go home, I am no believer of God, still there is no problem. But if Yesudas, a true devotee of SreeKrishna enters a temple, it creates a huge issue. It's high time mallu's should grow up. Atleast change it from "non-Hindu" to "non-believer". That makes a little sense.

Shabarimala issue makes Meera issue look very small. Starting from the Kannada actress' confession, it's complete chaos there. Now the fight is between the astrologer and the 'thantri'. I pity them - I cant say anything else. Simply pity them. People are again proving they are idiots - they were always good at it.

I think, the journalists should be able to reduce the importance of these stuff. These priests will stop all non-sense once there is none to pay attention to their "assholism" ;)

A genuine-doubt :- Cant Mr. Ayyappan@Shabarimala control his mind while seeing ladies? If he loses his "bhrahmacharyam" just by having look at a woman, is he good enough to be a God? Better pray to our president Kalam, he is still single. He must be dealing with all kind of people including women of all varieties.

Signing off, Sands.

there is no point in making comments. its difficult to change people. the way you believe that god in non-existant, the same way priest-community believe that non-hindus should not be allowed to enter temples. why not ask non-hindu believers of hinduism to get converted and then enter temples.

By the way who is stopping people to follow and practice any religion. Just the rule of disallowing non-hindus to enter temples should not stop them. Is it that God will listen to prayers only when you go to temple. If one believes in god, one can also believe that, God is everywhere rather than only inside a temple.

I think beliefs are in mind. I might be a Hindu, but by belief I am not. Still I have the rights to enter. Nobody is concerned. And someone who is really a believer can't enter seems stupid to me. Why do you ask them to convert. Just ask them - do you believe in Hindu Gods and Hinduism? If the answer is yes, I think they have qualified.

And regarding praying from anywhere, it's again belief. Someone thinks, temples have more 'concentration' of God. Some are looking for the peaceful atmosphere there. May be some want to do some rituals (pushpanjali.. etc). For that they need temple itself.

But, I do agree with what you told in the beginning... "it's difficult to change ppl".

I dont understand what they say. They dont understand what I say. It's better if I understand atleast this much.

its ok to ask them whether they believe in the religion and its principles then why should a non-hindu believer of hinduism should expect the priest community to change the age old traditions. why can't they change themselves. the idea is change. no one can change themselves. every one expects the change to be such that people can avail the facility without having them to change themselves. that is selfishness.

no one will understand what you say. because no one here will compromise and no one can accept change and change themselves.

I think, I disagree. The traditions are old.. that doesn't mean they are correct. In that case, how is un-touchability wrong? It was an old yet wrong tradition. So, if we find something is better than the current tradition - simply change it. Again for the question WHO WILL CHANGE IT?

If you are a malayalee, you might have heard "Annaara-kkannanum/kunjum thannaalayathu" (A squirrel too does whatever it can - the story can be traced back to Ramayana, Building of the bridge). Similarly everyone should do what (s)he can.

And as long as nobody is ready to change, the world too wont change.

Btw, I am curious to know with whom I am having a "flame war" (i am no Torwalds, nor Tanenbaum).

btw who are the custodians of Hindu temples ? its not the priests..its the people... so if ppl say that they can be allowed.there ends the matter... its a shame that these issues are getting bigger and bigger

basically it boils down the issue that people are not acting/reacting in the right way.

True, it's a shame on the junta.

Since yesudas and meera jasmine are celebreties, it's possible to identify. If an ordinary non-hindu person go to temple how do they make out? If they spent that money which they spent for 'shudhikalasam' for some charity purpose it's more appreciable..............

All the rules are made my humans, not GOD. Even God concept is in our heart.

I believe kuttan could've choosen a better topic. But looking at the responses, here is what I have to say. I loved the last comment ""If they spent that money which they spent for 'shudhikalasam' for some charity purpose it's more appreciable.............."".. I totally agree with this.

If we can change focus to reservation topic then I guess here's what I have to say. In my opinion reservation is for someone who is not abe to make inroads due to their incapabilites of proper education, opportunities. So if the government feels that they are creating opportunities by reservation in the current way then they are TERRIBLY WRONG, buy reserving a few seats without opening more colleges is ridiculous. Thoug this topic will be debated over and over again without any decent conclusion, I believe that time can be the best answer. In my recent visits to USA i clearly saw the way the backward (blacks and mexicans) are being exploited. In a company where close to 50,000 worked, I met close to 3-4 blacks. A very pathetic situation, they are denied basic facilites and education, kept in the dark and for generations together can never prosper in the current situation. If you look at the Reservation issue from a different perspective, Imagine you are a backward class student with a meagre economic background. Then all you need is some money to get admitted, If you are interested in studies then you need somebody to pay fees. You may need somebody to pay up a small sum as surety for a government job.
Let's debate this topic more rigorously.... I'm waiting to conclude this topic with a plan waiting to be proposed.

Finally Hi and Bye to all
